Salisbury Community Band Winter Concert!

The Salisbury Community Band announces an inaugural winter concert to be held at

Christ United Methodist Church, 211 Phillip Morris Drive on Sunday, January 28th at 3:00 pm.

Unlike our summer schedule which has one rehearsal followed by a Sunday evening concert, the band scheduled three rehearsals in preparation for a musical program which not only reflects their "concerts in the park" heritage but one that allows an opportunity to delve into a broader repertoire. Director Howard K. Snow has programmed some Copland, Holst, Elgar & Grainger, a special tribute to Louis Armstrong by James Stephenson, and several "crowd pleasing" selections including the Phantom of the Opera and music from Star Wars. Won't you join us on the 28th?

I.m glad to see Howard Snow as the director. He is and was a student of former band teacher and area icon Melvin Harris. Mr. Harris influenced a lot of people in this area and has left many former students to continue his legacy. Keep on going Howard, from a former school mate from James M. Bennett.
