HERNDON, Va. (WJLA) - At least 13 drivers woke up to shattered windows on Friday morning.
Police say the cars targeted were inside a garage on Atlantis Street in Herndon.
“It’s a lot of cars that were towed from this property this morning,” said Jamal Yusuf, who is one of the victims. “And they had left everything else, they left the GPS. They left the money, they left the cards. The only thing that they wanted was the airbag.”
Yusuf worries that the thieves will strike again.
Fairfax County Police have not identified any suspects as of Friday night.

As about every car manufactured in the last ten years has a defective airbag that is under recall (I have two), they most likely stole defective airbags. And who the hell would buy a defective airbag from a "fence?"
That's one way to get a defective airbag replaced without waiting for your turn in the recall. Most cars will be junk before they ever get around to replacing the airbags.
Look at the bright side, if they were recalled Takata airbags they will be replace with good ones.
