10:01, we were never integrated. Remember back in the sixties when they ( yes they) wanted to go to school with whites? As soon as that happened, they wanted their own Black Student Union. Had to have Black History Month in a school where whites didn't have White History Month. Everything was resistance and nothing has changed, although I agree with you. I am not against blacks, I just don't get their culture, after it being pushed on me. What's with African American? If you are in this country legal, you are American. I am white and don't put on any document that I am White American or English American. All they have to do is lay the hood back and buckle their drawers when going inside where there is heat and gain respect instantly. Treat others the way you would like to be treated. not hard at all.
Actually 1119 they didn’t want to go to school with whites. You need to read some more on Black History and Civil Rights before making such comments because you’re highly uninformed. Their beef was the inequality of the education they received in black urban schools. They were forced by law (Civil Rights Act of 1964) to be bused to white schools and they also protested with whites against it. It’s really sad you have such an obvious misunderstanding about a period of our history that’s not that long ago. Independent study would be an excellent thing for you to pursue. If you did you would learn very quickly the Civil Rights Movement was about equality not integration. Desegregation was a part of Johnson’s hairbrained scheme because he wanted to win the Black Vote.
This is the very reason why the federal government needs to do away with protected classifications. There shouldn't be any class protected over another based on race, sexual orientation, creed or color. Everyone is equal and should be treated equally. There is no real equality as long as some have preference and protection over others. Sorry, but you can't have it both ways.

That place is now near the end of its time as a mediocre mall -- remember how fast the old Salisbury Mall went down the tubes. Back then it was this place that was the killer. This time its the internet and the shopping in OC and the Rehobeth area as well as the crappy economy in Wicomico County.
this is the kind of crap that killed the old mall and forced the new mall to be built far away from the city center, in a corn field. i wonder how far away from the salisbury city center the "new" mall will be built when this new mall closes and moves.
some people just can`t have nice things because they don`t know how to act and the nice things in life keep moving farther away from them.
