WCSO Incident At Parkside High School

Incident: Possession of CDS / Resisting Arrest
Date of Incident: 17 November 2017
Location: 1000 block of Beaglin Park Drive, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Male Juvenile, 15, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 17 November 2017 at 7:50 AM, a deputy in conjunction with the Administration of Parkside High School initiated an investigation into the possession of CDS by a student.

The investigation was prompted after this student walked through the hall giving off a pungent odor of marijuana. During the ensuing investigation this student began making what was perceived as furtive movements as he backed away while both grabbing into his waistband and inside his coat which caused concern that this student might be concealing a weapon. Instead of complying with instructions, this student continued to back away from the deputy which escalated to pulling away when the deputy attempted to stop him. The student was able to slip out of his coat at which point he began running through the hallway in an attempt to flee apprehension.

The deputy pursued the student as the student fled from the building out a rear door, ultimately catching the student in the rear parking lot. Upon catching the student, he struggled against the deputy’s attempts to detain him. During the apprehension, the deputy utilized his agency taser to assist with stopping the student. The deputy recovered a baggie that contained what was identified as marijuana from this student.

The student was transported for medical attention and was subsequently evaluated and released before being released to a parent. A request for formal charges is being sent to the Department of Juvenile Services for adjudication.

I'm waiting for all the cousins, baby mama's and baby daddy's, neighbors and church pastors and deacons to start telling us what an outstanding individual and student he is.
Surely the deputy just picked on this genius out of the blue because the deputy had nothing better to do.

Good job Deputy. On the Blubber Bloggers site he said it was an SPD officer. He was spreading fake news again.

I'm waiting for the school board to take a stand on this type of behavior (crimes) and not tolerate it any more. If you do certain things in school you should be out, regardless of your color...red, yellow, black or white.

4:23.....you are so on point with this...

Deadly force for a weed. Granted the kid is a miscreant to have it in school, but, cops are out of control over a weed. This is assault, premeditated attempted murder and kidnapping for disobeying a cops authority. Nothing more. Tobacco is more dangerous and they have teachers dealing deadly narcotics that the government says are not as dangerous as marijuana. It’s a joke.
Tobacco should be schedule 1 with all narcotics, weed? over the counter like cigarettes.

They ALSO found drugs on him.

5:14....Taser is not considered deadly force....

Didn't know a taser was deadly force but ok...come do the Law Enforcement Officers job then 5:14. Marijuana is sold by gang members and the profits go to support the illegal acts that they commit on a daily basis, but I'm sure you knew that from sitting behind your computer.

So says an obvious weed smoker. It has no place in school. All student had to do was listen. He got what he got and deserved it.

WOW does this guy or lady understand what deadly force is? Obviously he just fell of the cabbage truck! These kids are thugs! Teaching begins at home, but once again Parkside shows off one their prize pupils!!!

You weren't there. You didn't see the kid try to grab something from his waistband. If he was armed, and the officer didn't tase him, this would be an entirely different post. THANK YOU T.F. for keeping us safe!

I guess he is taking business classes. Learning a business of selling a product for profit and in school at that. Job well done deputy.

Legalize all drugs.

what a dumb-ass kid!
its POT!
423 is right.
run from the law = taze that idiot!
who knows what was he thinking, or capable of...

The kid was not tased for having pot. He was tased for his actions when the deputy confronted him. Another thug who didn't listen to the police. First, he was backing away reaching for his waistband, probably where he kept his piece when out on the street, then he ran. And then even when he was caught he resisted. THAT is why he was tased. He was not tased for weed. He was tased for the usual reaction thugs have to the police. "I ain't gotta listen to him, screw him."

7:36 never said he was tased for weed.
he said he was tased for RUNNING from the law.
that said, im glad he was tased!

4:35, what the hell is wrong with you? You think it's ok for students to come to school stoned? I hope you do not have any children. Feel sorry for them if you do.
