At this point in time it's just accusations some believe some do not. This is not how elections should be decided. He could very well lose and then the accusations proven false. Is that the essence of democracy? It certainly is and that is why our Founding Fathers deplored democracy and instituted a republic. They believed the "mob" would be too easily manipulated by nefarious individuals and groups, as is evidenced by this current circus, whether the accusations are true or not. That republic was subverted by the 17th Amendment eliminating the traditional "considered body" indicative of a republic and replacing it with lawmakers from the same constituency.
