U.S. DOJ will not criminally charge Freddie Gray officers

BALTIMORE —The U.S. Department of Justice will not pursue criminal charges against the Baltimore City police officers involved in the Freddie Gray case.

An official announcement from the DOJ is expected Wednesday.

The officers were charged by state prosecutors after Gray's neck was broken in the back of a police transport van in April 2015. The federal investigation started shortly thereafter.

Last year, Officer Caesar Goodson, Lt. Brian Rice and Officer Edward Nerowere acquitted, and prosecutors dropped charges against the remaining officers, Sgt. Alicia White and Officers Garrett Miller and William Porter.

of course not, cops can beat you, murder you, and abuse you and even break the law and nothing with ever happen to them unless they are a political pawn...The only cop I have seen go to jail in the past few years was that one cop from north carolina where he shot at a guy for doing what he ordered him to do... He said get your license and registration, and he said i will get it but it is in my car, let me get it, then the cop shot at him saying he did it to fast... The judge locked him up for once...

SO when you hear the ass cheek sucking cop lover say, just follow their orders, illegal or not, you still will get shot at so, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't...

Good decision, they were just doing a job that most don't want done. How would any of you like to be a cop today?

These cops did nothing wrong why would they be prosecuted ? They had a witness that said he was slamming himself into the walls. Anybody who is against these cops is a douche bag ANTIFA dirt bag.

Oh please 12:37. Commenting when you are clueless is not ever productive. The prosecution of those 6 officers was the vicious act of legal malfeasance perpetrated solely for the political advancement and aggrandizement of that lying ghetto affirmative action skank Marilyn Moseby.

12:37 LOL you're full of crap. The majority of law abiding Americans don't have problems with L.E.O. They are not perfect, but considering what the job entails, and asses like yourself they do pretty well

That means it's back to Mosby to push locally or throw in the towel. Give it up, and save time, money, reputation.

Don't loot we won't shoot.

Now that they will not have to face any charges at the federal level, they are going to be subjected to disciplinary action by the police force.

They couldn't pursue charges if they wanted to because they've already been acquitted. It would be double jeopardy to charge them again for the same crimes they've already been acquitted for. They knew this before they started this farce. It was Lynch, Comey and Obama politicizing the DOJ that started this mess to begin with.

Not all were tried, some had their charges dropped so they could still be tried if they wanted to. But I doubt that will ever happen.

Au Contraire, my uniformed friend. The police officers in the Rodney King case in California probably thought the same thing when they were acquitted of the state charges brought against them, After the verdict resulted in the riots and mayhem that followed, the federal prosecutors decided to charge them again, but at the federal level, for violating Mr. Kings civil rights. Those cops were subsequently convicted and received prison time for the same crime they were acquitted of at the state level; for beating the crap out of a non-compliant, resisting Mr. King. The same thing almost just happened to the Baltimore cops. The federal crime would have been for violating Mr. Grey's civil rights. So much for "double-jeopardy". Same crime but with a different name for the charges, two different courts. Where there's a will there's a way. They almost did it to George Zimmerman in Florida after he was acquitted in the killing of Travon Martin.

You must have had your "dark shades" on when you watched. He was clearly resisting to me. And also apparently to LA jury that acquitted the officers. They saw the same video that you and I saw.
