Harvey's impact on Houston and Southeast Texas will be felt for years to come — but what would the weather system look like in other regions of the country?

We'd be screwed. Damage would be in the trillions with every east coast city and port under five feet of rainwater and tide blown by 80mph winds.

It will be a mess. There are still puddles in peoples yards and roads from the last storm we had the other day. The ground is saturated. The additional rain won't we welcome. At least it won't be Texas.

Give it a week, and we just might have one her eon the east coast too...

Harvey combined with this newest hurricane Erma, might just put us in the same boat as East Texas. I won't shed a tear if Washington DC gets flooded out!

Maybe Baltimore will float to the Philly area. One can only wish...

Harvey would not have been a Cat 4 in the cooler Atlantic.

Not to worry. Irma's on its way.

Don't worry....all the locals at the beach will ignore all the warnings because of so many false alarms and the whole beach will be under water and the western shore will be flying over to rescue us.

Try to imagine NYC shut down for weeks. And DC, Boston, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Portsmouth, etc.

Closest 521pm was 9/11/01 and the days/weeks afterwards. Awful year 2001.
