Additional Information:  A juvenile found an unknown type of suspected illegal explosive/firework and gave it to his neighbor who subsequently ignited the device.  The device detonated while the victim was still holding the device in his hand.  The injury is serious but not life threatening.  The St. Michaels Police Department and Talbot County Sheriff's Office assisted the Office of the State Fire Marshal with the investigation.
