Egyptian Christians Killed for Refusing to Renounce Their Faith in Jesus

As more and more details emerge concerning Friday’s Ramadan attack on a busload of Christians on pilgrimage, the more it becomes evident that these 29 martyrs died solely because they were Christians.

Survivors of the attack said that the ten masked Islamic State militants did not merely open fire on the bus full of Christian pilgrims on their way to the Monastery of Saint Samuel the Confessor, but that the victims were made to descend from the bus and asked one by one whether they were Christians before being shot by the assailants.

According to one of the chaplains of the group, Father Rashed, as each pilgrim came off the bus they were asked to renounce their Christian faith and profess belief in Islam, but all of them—even the children—refused. Each was killed in cold blood with a gunshot to the head or the throat.

In a statement Friday, President Donald Trump said the “merciless slaughter of Christians in Egypt tears at our hearts and grieves our souls.”

Religious fanatics have been slaughtering each other for thousands and thousands of years. This is nothing new, and certainly isn't a sign of anything.

Ironically, end times prophesy isn't unique to Christianity... it's also found in the Muslim faith, and is what is driving a lot what Isis does.

As I see it, the only way the world will get better is when humans shed themselves of these unnecessary myths of yesteryear and start embracing what is demonstrably true.

Please consider the lesson of Peter in the garden.
He denied the Lord 3 times - even though he thought he would not do so.

One never knows until he time comes.
Pray that you will have the strength (which comes from the Father) to confess the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

There are no martyrs, only victims.

I cant imagine the strength and faith it takes may God Bless them and give us the strength to destroy the evil that killed these gentle souls.

Islam is Tolerant of Other Religions The Myth: Religious minorities have flourished under Islam. Muslims are commanded to protect Jews and Christians (the People of the Book) and do no harm to them. In Sura 109, the Quran says, "To you, your religion. To me, mine." The Truth: Religious minorities have not “flourished” under Islam. In fact, they always dwindle to mere shadows after a few centuries of persecution and discrimination. Some were converted from their native religion by brute force, others under the agonizing strain of dhimmitude. What Muslims call “tolerance,” others correctly identify as institutionalized discrimination. The consignment of Jews and Christians to dhimmis under Islamic rule means that they are not allowed the same religious rights and freedoms as Muslims. They cannot share their faith, for example, or build houses of worship without permission.
