Every WalMart on the Eastern Shore is kind enough to dedicate space for recycling bins at their locations. When I see images like above I get so ticked off it isn't funny.
Dumping household materials at these locations is abusing the kindness of each and every business and here's what I'm going to ask of you. Please take cell phone pictures of ANYONE you see dumping NON RECYCLABLES at these locations and forward them to me.
While I was putting my recyclables into the bins, one guy took his car floor mats and threw them into the plastic bin. Then he dumped luggage into the bin as well. When I said something to him he copped an attitude and walked away. Perhaps each County can start placing trail cams to stop these abusers.
Keep in mind, these businesses aren't going to keep allowing these bins on their lots if people keep abusing it. The quickest way to stop this is to snap pictures of the people illegally dumping and set some examples.

Joe some people just have no class at all,you might change their actions slightly but you will never change their attitude.
I take cardboard to the same recycle location and I've seen it all. I couldn't get my truck close one day because someone unloaded an entire demolished deck on the ground all around the dumpster. Real class. I think the remote cameras would be a great idea.
From what I hear this happens all the time. People are lazy, and getting lazier.
I stopped at a local business the other day and couldn't park in any one of a dozen parking spaces where people had left shopping carts, even though some were about 2 spaces from the cart corral.
But doesn't everyone want a recycled bed? Bed Bugs and all?
They have closed the recycle site in Fruitland. The County has a group of work release that is supposed to keep these areas clean. This is no excuse for these creeps to dump this stuff.
This is exactly why the recyclable bins on Main St., Fortland were removed. During the weekend when people thought they weren't being watched, they would drop off televisions, furniture, building materials, and car parts. Even after the bins were full they continued to leave recyclables which then in turn blue all over the roadway and surrounding properties.
Another aspect: they don't do routine cleanup or empty the containers before they are over-filled. Just look at the ones and area at the Wicomico County Civic Center.
How bout them people who block gas pumps and aren't getting gas they just are too lazy to walk from the other side of wawa! Or the bums at Calvert Street leaving beer cans and coffee cups in the parking lot instead of using trash cans that are there
That the hood mentality of Salisbury Maryland
Where I work people just throw trash on the ground, not just small amounts we are talking quite a bit. I was raised to respect others, their property and be kind. It seems that has flown out the window. So very sad.
They took all our recycle spots like these away in Delaware. Can't have anything nice. Thanks lazy people.
Everyone thinks their time is more valuable then anyone elses. It doesnt get much easier than dumping a container into another container. The 30 extra seconds I guess is just that important to them.
I see where some fool dumped a bunch of stuff at the clothes bins at the Wal Mart in Fruitland.
They should be arrested and there should be some serious fines.
There needs to be cameras there and if you dump you get 30 days community service or $750 fine.
No recycle sites then all that should go to the landfill but will not it will end up along the roads. Thanks Wicomico County and you lazy bums.
joe you need to go on Maya Bellas pizza facebook page they aint happy that 3 rd fri got cancelled tonight and they are stuck with 8 trays of pizza dough.
So what do you want to do with the people who take the aluminum cans from the bins then sell them at them at the metal recycle business?
Is this why the recycle bins disappeared in WalMart North?
Looks like the Parker complex on Tuesday mornings.
Wal-Mart North recycle bins have been moved beside Sam's Club.
@ $0.20 a lb. ( if that )? The whole bin might be worth $3.00
Parker looks like this every Monday night when I play softball
That's what has been happening ever since the counties and towns starting charging people to dispose of their trash. If not there, then on the side of county roads. Some people can't, or won't, pay to dispose of their trash.
