Study finds 41% of surveyed officers were sleep deprived

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Sleep deprivation and policing can be a dangerous mix. A study published in JAMA a few years ago found nearly 41% of police officers surveyed suffered from sleep deprivation. More than 4,000 officers in North America were part of the survey.

In Baltimore, FOX45 obtained video that appears to show an officer asleep in his police car. The officer’s eyes are closed and his head is resting on his shoulder

I know fruitland police are sleep deprived, go by the little league park just about any morning and you'll see

Gee could it be the 12 hour shifts they work??? So if they are sleep deprived, then it is possible they make mistakes right??? But I guess the thug should just not break the law when they are not breaking the law right???

its closer to 90% of patrol officers. Get off at 3am, court at 830 back to work at 430.

How can they be sleep deprived? They take plenty of naps in the patrol cars.
