LAUREL – Fire fighters from Delaware and Maryland responded early Monday morning to a fire at Dukes Lumber Company.
The blaze, which was confined to a workshop shop at the longtime Sussex County business, caused an estimated $200,000 in damage to the structure and equipment, Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael G. Chionchio said.
State fire investigators determined the fire was caused when sparks from welding ignited a waste oil pan.
