(March 14, 2017) Austin Martin, the former Stephen Decatur High School teacher charged with sex abuse of a minor for a texting/photo based relationship he admitted having with a 17 year old student, was acquitted in circuit court today.
Judge D. William Simpson ruled based on a case out of Wicomico County where it was established that, reprehensible as the acts may be, they occurred outside of the teacher-student relationship, and therefore could not used as evidence of sex abuse.

great news ...Cops today are way overboard on enforcement....it is all about them getting promoted for self gain purposes, while over stepping the due process clause of the Constitution....great call Judge
.... now I hope he sues each cop involved!!!!
6:52, WHY on God's green earth would you blame the police? They have a job to do, period. If someone accuses them of ANY crime it is their job to charge the suspect and let the system do its thing. I'm confused by your comment.

It's the law. Talk to legislators if you don't like it.
