Warren barred from speaking on Senate floor for rest of Sessions debate

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., was prohibited Tuesday night from speaking on the Senate floor for the rest of the debate over Sen. Jeff Sessions' nomination to be attorney general.
The drama began when Warren, quoting a 30-year-old letter by civil rights leader Coretta Scott King, referred to the Alabama Republican as a "disgrace." King's letter was written in 1986, when Sessions was nominated to the federal bench, but was never confirmed.
King also wrote that when acting as a federal prosecutor, Sessions used his power to "chill the free exercise of the vote by black citizens."
Warren's reference drew the ire of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who said that Warren had "impugned the motives of our colleague from Alabama."
Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont. then advised Warren that she was out of order under Rule 19 of the Senate, which states that "no Senator in debate shall, directly or indirectly, by any form of words impute to another Senator or to other Senators any conduct or motive unworthy or unbecoming a Senator."

Glad they shut her down! So tired of Princess Little Big Mouth. She's such a liar its insane MA even voted for this woman. No wonder she's looking at defeat in 2018. Good riddance.

couldn't happen to a nicer biotch!

This is going to backfire spectacularly. Shutting down a female senator for simply reading a letter written by Martin Luther King Jrs widow? Republicans can be such idiots. She'd have read the letter and sat back down. Now it's going to be turned into a huge deal.

4:07. Can you tell me when Elizabeth Warren would ever shut up and sit down? I think the republican LEADERSHIP is trying to make a strong point. Did you notice the emphasis on leadership. Why would I emphasize LEADERSHIP?
OK...I know it's too early for you since you are at a democrat disadvantage. REPUBLICANS LEAD BECAUSE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE VOTED THEM INTO OFFICE. YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE AND BLEW IT. Now, pour some Koolaid in your coffee and don't forget your pussy-hat.

Mayor Emanuel (Chicago) himself has said if the Democrats are to win they must continue their strategy of "picking battles with Republicans, exploiting wedges within the GOP and fighting attempts to redistrict Congress on partisan grounds." This is the game that liberals are playing to disrupt the Republican Party. Period. How about if they simply get back to work for The People?

Wake up people. There is a method to the madness. Playing long ball. Well done by McConnell. Wait and see...

4:07...just can't get over it can you. Warren is a poor representative ignoring benefits of Sessions's past. Compare against Obama's two AGs. The first was a gun toting radical in college and complicit during fast & furious and the second not having sense enough to avoid impropriety meeting with a former President whose wife was under federal investigation. Is your head that far up your butt?

Rules are rules. If she can't follow them maybe she should take up another occupation! No backfire other than McConnell is getting a spine for a change. 407 you're spinning where no spinning can be spun. I'd say even Dems don't like Warren.

Warren is just like Hillary....FAKE

407 the letter is not factually true. The author did not testify during the hearing or bring any evidence to support her claim. The days of just saying things to hurt someone based on zero evidence are coming to a end... Warren is a liar and lost even more credibility in the courts. She will NEVER be in the White House now and I doubt she will get elected..
