If my kid wants to be a bartender I have no problem with it. I made 70k a year in Salisbury doing it. Even though people don't think it is a "real job".

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a bartender particularly if your making 70k.Problem is the area needs a thousand more jobs just like that and bars don't produce them.
