Many in and out of DC are anxiously awaiting to judge Donald Trump on his first 100 days with bated breath but is this timeline really just a myth?
President Roosevelt |
While we have pretty much the same thing now short of a huge stock crash, the country is in dire straits with a stunning 95M unemployment number still hanging like a black cloud over our economy. Therefore, when FDR took office, he had both a Congress and Senate more than willing to try his 'just try it' attitude in order to fix the dismal situation - this being in stark contrast of what we have now.
Henry Rainey Speaker of the House 1933 |
Conversely, Trump is unfortunately stuck with Speaker Paul Ryan (R) - a person who is not as gratuitous as Rainey; this was demonstratively evident from his pre-election banter and constant naysaying of his own party's candidate. Ryan has made it no secret he has his own agenda for many things that grossly conflict with Trump. The fact he wants to grant amnesty to millions of illegals while ushering in countless unvetted refugees into the country when so many Americans are desperately trying to survive, is a strong indication he is no Rainey. He seems to miss the memos showing the real unemployment plight and the fact that many are having to work two or three jobs to make what they used to make in one, leaving them less time with their families.
Paul Ryan Speaker of the House 2016 |
Therefore, is it an unreasonable demand to expect Trump's first 100 to be wildly spectacular? Perhaps, but given what he's accomplished on his own thus far, maybe his first days will be even better than FDR's - a potentiality that drives the Media and Liberal Tears insane.
That Trump has been working hard prior to inauguration demonstrates he knows he has a tough stretch to hoe after he takes oath. Now, he is using his ability to make deals to get business owners to reconsider taking jobs out of the States while building a cabinet of solid professionals around him.
While some of his Generals and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson are already getting some backlash from the loopy left and RINOs, they are solid people who will serve as they always have, with dignity and grace. Those in opposition are creating fake objections simply to thwart Trump's progress, not to help America. Knowing Trump and his team's persuasive abilities, the confirmations will go through, but some dissent will be noted for record. However, for those putting up such ridiculous resistance, what does that tell us about them? America first, or hardline politics?
The election is proof that we are tired of the same ole, same ole DC political milieu and that we want a drastic change to occur. No more ignoring our rule of law. No more adding to a stressed population with more stress. No more gross fraud and waste. No more malarkey. It's time for the Beltway Crowd to get with the program and realize a new sheriff is in town and things will be a changin'!
As for Trump's first 100, it will not be without its spills and chills and we may not see everything mysteriously materialize but if he doesn't surpass FDR's legendary 1933 record, he'll come pretty close to it!
I'm not tired of winning yet. How say you?

Spot on again Mr Crow. But I have lost much hope seeing this poisonous ryan voted in as speaker....it tells me that most in the party are more determined to continue with corruption, waste and dept as before.
I can't believe house republicans haven't dumped that no good RINO Paul Ryan. I think there will be a real backlash if Ryan tries to hold up Trumps initiatives. If that happens Trump needs to do what Reagan did and take his case directly to the American people. To hell with Paul RINO Ryan.
Joe, I completely agree. Unless both houses approve his agenda, Trump will appear impotent. RINOs like Ryan could derail Trumps plan and risk an effective agenda . The country elected Trump, not Ryan . It's time, we the people, contact our congressmen and let them know our thoughts. Hon. Dr. Andrew Harris (202) 225-5311 Be punctual and cordiall, but make your view clear.
When issues boil down to Ryan vs Trump, Ryan's going to lose.
I'm not tired of winning either. Let's keep it up! 😉
As I expected Trump is surrounding himself with intelligence in respective areas of expertise. The country is in a position similar to when Reagan took office. I always considered Paul Ryan to be intelligent and I can't believe he would let this opportunity slip away. If there is a hint of resistance in the early going I would think there would be such an outcry from "the folks" Ryan would have to get in shape and quickly.
None of this bothers me , the people who voted for Trump understand , Trump has always been truthful with his failures and admitted it.
Trump will go straight to the people if Ryan drags his feet and he'll be gone. I don't understand how you lose an election but end up speaker of the house.
11:40 It is called politics. Trump needs Ryan's support and don't be surprised if Trump puts Romney in a position to smooth things over with Ryan. Romney and Ryan are BFFs.
1140 don't know what weed you smoking but Ryan won his election in Wisconsin and then the house republicans reelected him as speaker so where you think he lost an election is riveting. Trump cannot take it directly to the people. I have called Andy Harris many times about issues and his staff doesn't even understand what the issues are in the first place if they even know what they are. Called them about the ICANN transfer and the moron in the Washington office didn't even know what I was talking about. 1212 Romney will not be SOS. 😔
12:43
Ryan lost the election when running for V.P. with that mutt Romney.I know because I'm still upset that I supported both mongrels. Trump will lose my support if he appoints that loser Mitt.
12:43 Never said SOS position. Said "A" position.
111 1243 here: that was Romney's fault not Ryan's. He couldn't help that Romney was a crappy contender. He had to be a special kind of stupid not to beat Obama with his failed record in 2012. Also gotta factor in the big voter fraud by democrats in that one, too. Of course, Jill wasn't interested in recounts back then.
112 what job do you think Romney is prepared or qualified to do? A88kisser? that's the only one I've seen him do. Let him go work for the Bushes, Trump doesn't need him junking up his cabinet with nonsense.
I differ from other commenters in that I do not believe the politicians make any decisions at all.
I believe the agendas are spoon fed to them by those who finance their campaigns (control their office, and control their future hopes for endless personal benefits from the bloated illegal federal government).
The agenda is set by the financiers. The international bankers. Those who print the money. The descendants of those who created the Great Depression. The illuminati families who are born into tremendous wealth, and thus, power. They own the MSM.
Mr. Trump will either do exactly what they want, and say exactly what they want, or he will not be around very long. It is just that simple in my world view. I also believe Mr. Pence will in fact, do exactly as he is told. So one way or another, the elites will have their way with the world.
Well, you asked, for our opinion. That is mine. It is an honest opinion.
Let's all hope that I am DEAD WRONG.
Thank you
Did you see where Trump told the CIA to take a hike? He has more intelligence in his short little finger than an entire intelligence agency! Trump is the man!
Pretty good bet our new President won't be making a world tour to bow, kiss the ring and apologize. So he'll get off to a running start.
2:51. I fear you are right. Already donors giving millions of dollars to his campaign have been picked to join his administration. Then there are the picks of executives from Goldman Sachs and potentially the Exxon CEO as Sec of State. Just adding more alligators to the swamp. Not exactly what I was expecting.
251 it's nice to see such optimism. You have a Merry Christmas!
I've been around a long time and seen many an election. Heard all the campaign promises from both sides and rarely seen either of them make good on a 1/4 of them. Trump may be different but at this point there is no sense beating chests and comparing penises. Give him some time and see what happens. I am tired of all the quarterbacking before the game even starts.
We have another problem is president berry has put his people in place where Trump can't fire them and this came from Reagan era and it has be remove by the highest level court's to null it's effects by putting his appoint judge 5 vs 4 member's of court. Unless he can overturn the rules is highly illegal.
541 every position is negotiable and also impeachable. Trump can do a lot more to get rid of some of BARRY's appointees than you think.
1:40
Not going to knock your opinion. You and I both have one, but look at Ryan's recent stance. Did everything possible to abuse Trump, right up to the last hour. I sent him money several times for V.P., but still say I'm ashamed of the dude and will never vote for him again. Seemed like he was jealous because he wanted to be where Trump was.
By saying it was not his fault would be like comparing the Biden dummy to his boss. Ryan and Biden are both second place losers kissing up to the one ahead.
2:51 IMHO I don't think DJT owes favors to anyone since he financed the majority of his campaign. That one quality could make the difference with this president: he's not a puppet to anyone
Paul Ryan is never to be trusted. He needs to go.
