ASHBURN, Va. – A school board member in Loudoun County, Virginia was arrested by sheriff’s deputies after she allegedly blocked the entrance to a rally for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and refused to move or leave.
Loudoun County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Broad Run School Board member Joy Maloney 9 a.m. Tuesday after witnesses said she cut in front of folks waiting in line at Briar Woods High School to attend a Trump rally, Loudoun Now reports.
Officers told the 45-year-old to get to the back of the line, but Maloney reportedly refused to budge and eventually sat on the ground and refused to move.
“As this was a private event contracted through Loudoun County Public Schools, the organizers revoked her ticket and she continued to refuse to leave the premises,” Loudoun County Sheriff’s spokesman Kraig Troxell told the Loudoun Times-Mirror.
The Broadlands resident was arrested for trespassing, and hauled in front of a Loudoun magistrate.
A photo posted to Facebook by a local conservative group shows the board member with her hands restrained behind her back, sitting legs out in a grassy area while four police officers monitor her.
She was later released on a $1,000 unsecured bond, according to the news site.
Maloney’s arrest was undoubtedly the kind of “school activism” she professed to be an expert at last spring when she ran for the school board after “investing for the past two years in advocacy through Support Our Schools,” a group driven by the Loudoun Education Association, the local teachers union.

THAT is the playbook of the Democratic party. They don't like guns, so just get rid of the Second Amendment. They hate Christ, so eliminate Him and replace him with a Satan Club (a BRILLIANT move for our children, huh?), or just abolish the First Amendment, too. They don't want any opposition, so block assembly of their opposition.
The slide into mediocrity doesn't happen overnight. It happens JUST LIKE THIS.
We are on the precipice of disaster, despite the liberal mantra of "We're SO great!!". Twenty TRILLION dollars in debt!! The pyramid scheme of Social Security is on the verge of collapse (your "leaders" ruined it by spending it on pet projects), other countries taunt us, provoke us, and laugh at our floundering and weak responses. Corporations run the country and openly BRIBE our "leaders". You continue to cheer?!
