So, the no-alcohol covenant died when the property was transferred in 1971? And we've been debating since then because nobody knew it?

You would think people would be up in arms more than this, WBOC/WMDT sure isn't covering this issue, all these years the Civic Center has been a drain on taxpayers, it could have been a money maker! We could have had a local hockey league 10 years ago and more concerts with the ability to sell alcohol.
Someone or group needs to be outed for this, someone had to know about this and hid it from the public, all these years we have been told no alcohol sales, "it's in the deed!" Who would benefit from keeping alcohol sales out?
How many County Attorneys have bothered to look at the deed requirements over the past 45 years? Each one of them either didn't read it, read it correctly, or provide the truth when asked. We could say the same of each county administrator over that span.

I hear a lot of people saying they wished that they hadn't voted for him.
so if someone has a right of way across your property and then you sell your property , someone will lose the right of way. NOT. once its in there you can not change it unless the person who put it in there agrees to remove it.

He won't be getting my vote again.
A good Republican would not have wanted to sell alcohol at the County Civic Center.
This was written for Bob Culver, by Paul Wilbur. Paul Wilbur got paid to write this so obviously he is going to say what the person paying him wants him to say.
If you want the citizens with a brain to believe this to be the case then let us read the original deed.
Joe you and I both know that you don't like Paul Wilbur and he has been a crook all those years he has been the City Solicitor for the City of Salisbury. How about bringing that up. Remember the $80 Million Dollar fiasco he screwed the tax payers over and now you want us to believe something he put in writing.

Something is wrong with those 2 statements. Paul Wilbur is the acting county attorney, not his office. This is clearly a violation of the county charter and Mr. Culver needs to respond to this violation. Maybe he should resign.

There is a lot of truth to this. Read the county charter. This is exactly what John Cannon was talking about and for once I agree with John Cannon on this.
