For many visitors approaching from the north, the pull-off – complete with bird-watching, fishing, restrooms and food – was the first taste of Tidewater. Until a few years ago, travelers enjoyed the free drink coupons handed out at the toll booths. The gift shop once sold sparklers, smoke bombs and other fireworks.

10:27. I guess it's a matter of perspective. How many people worked at the gift shop and how many will be employed during the years long construction project? And at what wages? And how many people will be employed off site supporting the project? And what new projects are in the offing once this one is complete? Times change.
been to that cafe many times. Amazingly the food was quite good
