Anthony Batts, the former Baltimore police commissioner, elaborated Thursday on his comments to The Baltimore Sun calling State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby "immature," "incompetent" and "vindictive" in her prosecution of six officers in the death of Freddie Gray.
While he told Phil Yacuboski he stands by those comments, he said those aren't problems that she can't fix. He compared Mosby to the brash young police lieutenants he would see as a chief of police in Baltimore and, before that, Oakland and Long Beach in California.
"I think she has the potential to do good things, but it's going to take shifting, it's going to take rebuilding, it's going to take significant effort to get the things that she wants to get done, done," Batts said.
Batts, who was forced out of his Baltimore job after homicides spiked last summer, is now a consultant training police commanders.
Asked to look back on the investigation, he said he reassigned more than 30 detectives and other personnel working on other cases to investigate the Gray case and reconstruct the entire days of the officers involved. Prosecutors say police did not execute warrants for cell phone records; Batts said that for his part, he did forward the warrants to officers.

As I have said before this was small town compared to 1968. Mosbey is an AMATEUR!
Mosby does not have the potential to do good. She is inherently corrupt, it's in her blood and when she gets to that lying she can't stop. She is from a very bad family of crooked cops and she has issues when it comes to telling the truth. The lying certainly comes from her genes and bad upbringing by people more concerned with being crooked then being positive role models. This is a major problem in black "families." There is nothing even remotely good about her. She is 100% bad to the very core of her evil self. It's so ingrained in these people very few if any can do good.
Too young, too inexperienced, too racially polarized to be able to do her job with any measure of discretion or poise. She needs to be replaced.
Age and experience mean nothing when you are inherently corrupt. She is from a family of very bad actors. She can not help herself. Her age nor any experience can help her inherent traits of lying pathologically and the corruption that is flowing through her veins. She needs to be put behind bars if for nothing else as an example to her daughters who will no doubt be just like her if they don't see there are consequences to lying. They aren't going to learn it from Mosby that is for sure. She is the worst kind of parent a child could ever have.
Mosby's lied from Day 1 and she's not stopping now. She's been making the rounds telling one lie after another but the best part is she's being called out.
Fox 45 has an INVESTIGATIVE report that ASA Bledsoe had text messages between her and Det Taylor that stated the Det was not comfortable with the states narrative in their theory. This claim flies in the face of Mosby and accounts that the notes were back-written in reference to the ME report or determination. These text messages run counter to Mosby's claim that the department was making up evidence.
Still proud of Mosby Mary Ashanti? Probably. Both value honesty as much as good decent moral human beings value a case of diarrhea.
