A Comment Worthy Of A Post 7-1-16

Anonymous said...

I'm listening to the radio and Wicomico Central just alerted Stations 1, 16 and 6 Parsonsburg for smoke in a residences. When Engine 16-1 responded Central told them that it was a pot on the stove and the "fire is out."

Since when did they start alerting 3 stations for "smoke in the residence" as if it was a real structure fire? WTH is going on in this county????

It's normal for a suspected structure fire ,Wouldn't you rather have them on the way if needed then to get there and see a house fire and then call for help?

Where there's smoke there's fire! And you weren't listening to the radio! Your listening to a scanner! If you were listening to a radio then you'd be some sort of first responder and know why! Talk about armchair quarterbacks!

First, it was dispatched as a structure fire. Second, central said that the homeowner advised his kitchen was on fire, he and his family evacuated the house, and he THINKS the fire is out now.

that the farmen appear to be working is what's needed.

I would rather have them than not.

Scanners pick up radio waves and translate them into loud speaker vibrations that humans can hear, 905 pm. "Scanner" waves are radio waves.

Radio 101 class dismissed.

I agree. This person is some kind of prude I swear. So what if three stations were called...so what. Better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them.

SMH at the stupidity. You should be more concerned about the Station 1 Fire Company Shenanigans going on more than you are with this bs.

Ask David Shipley he's the director.
