The number of Chinese students here in the U.S. skyrocketed to 304,040 during the 2014-2015 academic year, according to a new report by the International Institute for Education. Michigan State University alone has 4,400 Chinese students enrolled right now, and University of California-Berkeley has 1,200 (it had 47 Chinese students just 10 years ago). In Boston, a staggering 45,000 Chinese students attend its area colleges.
The influx is shown by the numbers: Of the almost 1 million student visas allowing foreigners to live in the U.S., approximately 360,000 are from China.
As Chinese students flock to U.S. colleges, they’re taking slots that would have gone to American students. A combination of higher-institution greed and top educational opportunities in the U.S. mean that a lot of American students have received rejection letters from American universities — while Chinese students are on their home shores rejoicing over their acceptances.
So what is driving the Chinese influx? Money. Foreign students pay full tuition rates — which can be as much as double what American students would pay. Universities and colleges now roll out the red carpet for prospective Asian students, even hiring Chinese-speaking staff to recruit Chinese students and help them along the way once they're here.

hmm seems to me those university's should lose all state and fed funds / loans, student loans etc, until they take every us citizen before one chinese
This is the flip side of the forced diversity coin...
If we pick only the best and most qualified, our students are going to get fewer of these slots....if we force Americans first, we get lower grade students....but they're American educated students!

Actually, a pretty fair number of them flunk out. They're here because their parents have lots of money. Some legitimate, and some the children of corrupt chinese officials. Many of them drive around in BMWs and even the occasional Lotus or Maserati. Rich kids.
But they pay big $$ for tuition and that is the bottom line. The universities coddle and accommodate them to try to keep the cash flow going.
I'm near Miami University and there are THOUSANDS of Chinese students. They are everywhere. The grocery store even has bi-lingual signs (for college students...)
Some are very smart. But most are just very rich.
People, you need to check the numbers at SU and the Maryland University System along with other MD Universities. University Village was occupied by approx. 30% + of these students and still depends on their survival being College Housing. Also check these other College housing off campus. The Asian and Chinese are even paying for Professors to teach the subjects along with paying SU / MD University System with large donations.
Well, they have all our jobs, so they can afford our education system!
For us, we get nothing or a lifetime of debt.

It is because our grads are idiots, since we dumb down all of our colleges for Diversity.
So the Chinese will be dumbed down. And the libtards will just keep liviñg in mommies basement.
