I used to listen to "The Shadow" on Armed Forces radio in the Middle-East, I loved that show! Old-time radio was pretty cool.

Listening to radio shows opened the minds eye & provided a much clearer picture than watching television. The descriptive given by the voice actors and actresses was to be commended and should be experienced by all.Great post indeed.I recall a lot of them but not all.

I've downloaded hours and hours of some of these shows to mp3 CD and listen to them on the road. They're better than today's radio.

What was nice about old time radio was that no one got upset about the content. If you didn't like the program, you didn't listen to it, you didn't demand they fire the guy, or apologizes from the company. People back then were adults, not the cry babies of today.
