Wallace was sentenced by a Circuit Court Judge to life in prison, suspend all but an active period of incarceration of 50 years. Wallace is currently serving a sentence for a violation of probation, and his sentence in the 1st Degree Murder will be consecutive. Wallace received no credit for time served.
Wicomico County State’s Attorney, Matthew A. Maciarello, commended the Maryland State Police Homicide Division, Det/Sgt. Chasity Blades and Det/Sgt. Kyle Clark, as well as the Salisbury City Police Department, Det. Ryan Brittingham and Det. J. Miller, for their work in the investigation and prosecution of this case. Mr. Maciarello also thanked Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Kristen Schultz and Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Karen Dean who prosecuted the case.

MSP has a division devoted to murder investigation. They are one of the best in the U.S.
I pray for victim's family,anyone that kills another human being should not exist in society.

I don't get it. Why suspend "all but 50 years"? What circumstances would compel the judge to do that?

You people are unreal and it's sad to read some of your posts. Your attitudes are no better than this young man that committed this crime. Seems as though you have quite a "backbone" behind a keyboard how about getting involved with some sort of community outreach and try to save some of these kids being lost. And for the couple of brainchildren that posted life but half of it suspended, what's the average lifespan of a male today? He's 20 now he has a mandatory 50 yrs that will let me help you make him 70 when he's released. Is that not life??

No that's not life. That is 70 genius. These suspended sentences lead to precedence for more suspended sentences. If it was your father who was killed I doubt you'd be satisfied with 50 years. You take a life, yours should be taken as well. From reading your comment, I'm guessing you're a liberal. Just what we need *eye roll*
50 years means he will be out in 25 with good behavior. Or even less.
