Congressman Andy Harris’ Statement on President Obama’s Supreme Court Nominee

WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) released the following statement on President Obama's Supreme Court nominee:

“Once again President Obama is playing politics with the future of this country by attempting to force the Senate to confirm a liberal Washington insider to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is a lifetime appointment and the American people should not be denied a say in the direction the court will take for decades to come. The Senate has the constitutional and legal rights to consider or not consider the ‘lame-duck’ President’s nominee and I believe they should continue to stand strong in not confirming a Supreme Court Justice during this election year.”

Good Job Andy!
Part of why we elected you...

Let's hope some of your strong backbone attitude is shared by your colleagues.

Ok Jimmy I, Start the left wing SMALL ISSUE talking points. Say something like, yea but Andy hates women and/or minorities or even worse minority women. Or discuss how gay rights are so important while this country is facing a real crisis. I could go on for pages......

How would Ireton respond to this? Ha Ha!!!

Ireton wouldn't respond because he can't. It's above his intellectual abilities. Now you ask him who has the most comfortable bar stools around or how to do the dirty deed on a beach and not be caught by cops he would be able to respond. He's your typical democrat-a nasty disgusting degenerate. It's going to be hilarious when he can't break double digits in the primary just like his idol O'Malley. Under Ireton's tenure Salisbury went from The Armpit of the Eastern Shore to The Crotch of the Eastern Shore. Ireton has nothing to be proud of and besides he a liar and he screams at women.

MERRICK GARLAND is against the 2nd amendment and doesnt think people should own guns

This will prove one way or the other if Republicans have a backbone and man-up or give in like the wimps they have been for years.

Yes this liberal hack nominee voted that a person should not have the right to own a gun in their home for personal protection.

"Playing politics"? By using his clear cut presidential powers to nominate someone? Yes tis the silly season. Say you don't like the nominee but don't come with the false talking points.

6:13. Well put. Go ahead Republicans. Block this nominee. I'm sure you will like Hillary's nominee much better next year.

6:42, I think we'll be happy to take that chance. Now, you start thinking about who President Trump will nominate. Take a sleeping pill tonight, you're going to need it.

Republicans loved this guy in the past. If Hillary is elected it is going to be an ultra left wing judge.

Hopefully he will show more backbone than when he said he would eliminate Obama care and then he voted for funding it, or when he said he was against illegal immigration and voted for amnesty, or when he said he was against abortion and voted to expand federally funded abortions. Democrats should love Andy Harris, he says all the right things but does all the wrong things.

The American people have had a voice in this nominee when they voted for Pres. Obama TWICE. Or do elections only have consequence when you like the result?

Republican Party is making a big mistake. Just because Democrats behave badly does not mean that the Republican should as well
