They became liberal politicians like Hilary Clinton or the Kennedy's, Tip O'Neal, Rosie O'Donnal, Sinead O'Connor, ETC.
I haven't seen too many Irish conservatives out there!
The Irish are smart, capable, proud and overcame their status through determination and perseverance.
The current batch of lazy, entitled, leeching Obama voters are mostly incapable of stepping one foot up on the success ladder!
BTW - I'm not Irish...I'm German!
Also Martin O'Malley the biggest liberal of them all!

I am also of German descent, but as a group, they seem to be the most Liberal. Look at Massachusetts as an example. Very liberal state with a high concentration of Irish voters.
I am proud to say I am Irish and Scottish and a very conservative Republican. My entire family was Democrats until this generation and we have all come out as Republicans and am proud of it!!
It must be the Scottish part of you. My grandfather was Scottish, and died rich, but lived this entire life as if he was poor. Scottish are known for being very thrifty and very cheap and very conservative in there views!
My Grandfathers name was Linn which is Scotch Irish.
I am thrifty and very conservative but I would not say I am cheap. I am very giving. But everyone who knows me will tell you I came from very little and have built something from nothing. That's because of the great country we live in and I just don't want to see that destroyed by those who want to change everything and disregard out Constitutional rights!

Even if parents are separated the mother would never have to go to the law for child support because it's not our way. All the Italians I have know are very hard working and very family oriented.
Of all the immigrant races, the only one that doesn't want to work or get ahead is the black race. They continue to whine and cry about how every white person owes them.
They are also the only group that doesn't want to be called American's, they have to be hifenated. I don't see that out of any other group.
What is so amazing is how some come here and have almost nothing and eventually thru hard work and saving, they build a business up from nothing. The blacks in this country are living in poverty like they have for over 150 years, very few get out and make it on their own. The rest just want to get high, breed, and bitch.

Thank you for posting this Joe, my liberal,government school education never taught me about the Irish slave ships bringing Irish slaves to America shackled and packed like cargo in the hold. They never taught us of slave markets filled with hundreds of Irish men, women, and children. Never told us of vast plantations where hundreds of Irish toiled. Thanks Joe
John Houston Craige US Marine Corps Captain wrote books about his experiences in Haiti during the Marine occupation (1915-1934.) His time spent in Haiti lead him to believe that white Europeans were the most "able group" of stock. He also said "I believe that the yellow and red men are less able, and the black men least able of all."
Craige and others concluded during and after the occupation of Haiti that the Haitians were not capable of governing themselves in a positive productive way. To this day it is a violent corrupt country much like the countries on the African continent. This is the God's honest truth and not something anyone can deny.
Amen on this. The Irish were sold by the British to Virginia into slavery. Yes they were slaves at the very beginning of the existence of America, the New World. White Irish slaves were treated worse than AfriKan slaves. The AfriKan slaves were allow to rape the white Irish slaves to attempt to make another breed of Afrikan slave.
Many people have not heard of Irish Slavery in America because it was not talked about much, but you may have heard of "indentured servants." Well guess what the "indentured servants" were our Irish Slaves. For some reason the Libtards have been sugar coating this fact for over 300 hundred years. When they did talk about it they made it sound like the indentured servants just came over here to make a new life for themselves. This may have been the case for a few people from England, but that was not the case with the Irish. The Irish were slaves that were treated much worse than the African slaves. For some reason the Libtards felt it necessary lump the Irish slaves into the "indentured servant" category. So with this said so much for the so called "White Privilege." The white many has been held back for over 300 years and continues to be held back today in favor of putting blacks on a pedestal.
