State Police Detectives Conducting a Homicide Investigation, Bridgeville

Bridgeville, DE - The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is currently conducting an investigation into the shooting death of a 35-year-old male south of Bridgeville.

Troopers were called to the 20000 block of Conrail Road by a 53-year-old female resident around 12:41 a.m. Thursday January 7, 2016 for a report of subjects breaking into the house and shots fired. Upon their arrival, a 35-year-old male victim was located in the kitchen area suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Sussex County Paramedics arrived shortly thereafter and pronounced the victim deceased. After shooting the male victim, the suspects fled the residence in an unknown direction. The female and three other male residents were uninjured in the incident.

The investigation into this incident by the Delaware State Police Homicide unit is in the very early stages and is on-going. So as to not jeopardize the investigation, no further details will be released at this time.
