Motions Hearing Today For Four Officers Accused In Gray's Death

A hearing is scheduled this afternoon in Baltimore City Circuit Court as Judge Barry Williams considers a motion filed by Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby to force Officer William Porter to testify for the state at the trial of the five other accused officers.

CLICK HERE to read Mosby's motion.

In a motion filed last week, Mosby is seeking to compel Porter to testify at the trials of Officer Edward Nero, Officer Garrett Miller and Lt. Brian Rice.

Attorneys for Nero, Miller and Rice have filed arguments opposing Mosby's request.

Mosby had earlier considered Porter to be a material witness in the trials of Officer Caesar Goodson, and Sgt. Alicia White.

Political Prisoners each of them. Mosby and that team of monkeys she calls attorneys are an embarrassment to the judicial. This has been a mockery of justice from the start. The family has been paid a civil award that goes far beyond comprehension. Time to move on. This was a civil case at best from the start.

Food for thought from 1877 to 1950 the Southern Justice League states approximately 3,900 African Americans were lynched. Appalling isn't it. Does it make your blood boil. I hope so. From 1950 to 2016 over 75,000 Black men have murdered other Black men. Does this make your blood boil? Who is speaking to this problem ? Where is our President on this issue. Where is the N.A.A.C.P. on this issue. Why does Black Lives Matter not weigh in.

It does not fit the agenda of hating police and guilting White people today that had nothing to do with what happened in the past. Sorry I am sick and tired of hearing it. When Black America addresses the issues within their race and takes some responsibility in this wild west mentality among its young I do not want to hear it. Stop using the police as a diversion. Stop blaming whites for your short comings the world is at your feet. Time to rise up and stop the blame game.

8:58AM, you make excellent points. However, always remember with white on black murder, it's about statements. Everyone appears to have a desire to hang the white man out to dry because of the past. A distant past. It's about this past, the folks at NAACP and BLM hang their hats and spew hate for the whites (which incidentally is also discrimination as well.) It's the double standard the predicates their society and spurs them to rally whenever it's an inter-racial violence rather than black-black violence.

This divisive nature has been encouraged from the upper levels of government and, unfortunately, has re-ignited poor race relations in this country, when the matter had been largely put to rest until...

I think that there is more hatred with blacks & cops, and blacks & whites, since Obama has been in office.

The answer is very simple. The fact is Black Lives ONLY Matter when they can attach an agenda to the death otherwise they could care less. They only fool the low information. Life is not valued AT ALL unless again they can attach an agenda. This complete and total lack of the value of life is why they are killing EACH OTHER like they are. This coupled with the dishonesty and lack or morals and no real churches only fake preachers using the pulpit for a political platform is the cause and the ONLY cause of ALL their social problems and NOTHING will change until they decide to become honest.

This "idiot" was not qualified for the States Attorney position since she had no real experience in criminal law. The immunity she offered was partial immunity and that does not eliminate his right to use the "5th". He could be prosecuted on his testimony concerning this case. If this "idiot" gave him complete immunity then she has the right to mandate he testifies and he would not be able to use the "5th" nor be prosecuted for any part of his testimony on this case.

8:58 well said. It appears you really have given this topic some thought. The numbers are staggering where do i find this info. What is your take on why the media and government keep this so quiet. What is the actual agenda ???

2:06 The media keeps it quiet because of political correctness and the government keeps it quiet so as to not offend the black voter base. If politicians started telling the black community the way it is instead of the lies they want to hear they would lose black votes. Blacks have been lied to for so long and have picked up that nasty habit themselves and that's why the staggering numbers of crimes they commit. Honesty (as well as moral behaviors) is the pillar of a civil society and when that (honesty) is a foreign concept society collapses and that is exactly what has happened and why their youth have no problems sticking a gun up to another black and shooting the person dead. Another problem is there are no real black churches left and very few real Christians in the black communities. Oh they talk a good game and Hallelujahing and Amenning on Sundays and then right back to their immoral ways before sundown. And those who don't engage in the bad behavior have an obligation as a Christian to JUDGE Yes judge those who are making babies in immoral unions, who are using and selling drugs and on and on. They are sinners to and that is why God has become so angry and is reigning his wrath down on their neighborhoods. God sees what is in their hearts and how immoral they have become and He is punishing accordingly by making their communities hell holes and a preview of what they have to look forward to in the afterlife if they don't change their ways.
