(CNSNews) – Data released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) show that the unemployment rate for blacks in November was more than double the rate for whites, and was also much higher than Asian and Latino unemployment.
The rate of white unemployment nationwide in November was 4.3%, slightly down from the 4.4% in October. (That’s seasonally adjusted, workers age 16 and over.)
However, the rate of unemployment for black workers ages 16 and older was 9.4% in November, up from the 9.2% rate in October.
9.4% is more than double 4.3%.
For Asian workers 16 years and over, the rate of unemployment in November was 3.9%, slightly up from 3.5% in October, but still lower than white unemployment and far lower than black unemployment.

There are people who will not work because they make more money on welfare. Cut welfare and you will cut unemployment.
But they continue to vote for the dems, so my conclusion would be the same as 1:10
Poor babies , they don't want to work , neither do I , but I have to.
I have to pay for them that don't work
Can't get unemployment if you never worked. This stat is way off.
5:36 Correct, but if you come here from Syria you get free housing, food stamps, a monthly allowance, free health care, Social Security, etc, etc. So what is your point?
Don't they have to be hired before they can be considered employed? How can this be resolved if they fill out applications and those applications are ignored? Clearly the stigma of criminal activity & incarceration stats has destroyed any hopes that they have for a future.Prisons are crammed full of people who simply were never given a chance at an honest living.
People make 60K on welfare.
Well said. Thank you.
I think we can look to the loss of manufacturing jobs to explain much of that statistic. There's now an entire subculture of adults working several part-time jobs trying to stay afloat. And then there's the subculture of adults who deal in illegal activities, maybe they shouldn't be considered "unemployed" much like the people who no longer qualify for assistance.
Would you care to cite credible, study specific sources, which clearly spell out the percentages of inmates, by race, who were "simply never given a chance" to attend a free public school to acquire the skills and competencies necessary to *earn" an honest living?
Corrected: "Don't they have to be employable, before they will be hired"?
and "Their choice to indulge in criminal activities limits their future"
and "The workforce is crammed with people who simply EARNED the chance to make an honest living."
