Troopers Investigate Attempted Robbery of Seaford Area Deli

Seaford, DE – Troopers are investigating the attempted robbery of a Seaford area deli that occurred early Monday evening.

The incident occurred approximately 8:10 p.m. Monday November 9, 2015, at the Middleford Deli located at 10056 Middleford Road as two male subjects entered the business and confronted a female employee at the counter. The two were armed with unknown type handguns and demanded the cash from the register. The clerk informed the suspects that there wasn’t any cash and the two fled out the front door of the business and ran toward the east. Two other employees were present during the attempted robbery but no one was injured in this incident.

The suspects are described as white males, approximately 6'00" tall, 150-160 lbs. One was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and a mask over his face. The other was wearing tan pants, grey hooded sweatshirt with a green back pack, and a mask over his face (no further description available). Both were armed with unknown type handguns.
