Mayor Jim Ireton, You're A Bum!
Considering the conditions out there today, Wicomico County asked the City if they would be so kind as to give a pass to some of the FEMALE employees working for the County to park in the GOB parking lot and not have to feed the meters.
Considering the County parking lot is not only on the other side of Rt. 50, it's a good distance away and it was a kind gesture on the County's behalf.
The County wanted to have a few spaces so they could shuttle employees from the parking lot across the street over to the GOB.
The City agreed to give them passes to do so and out of nowhere the Mayor and staff decided to rescind their agreement and forced the parking meter staff to start giving out tickets.
I think what the County did was extremely commendable and what Ireton did shows he's nothing but a woman hating bum. I mean, really, just what good comes from this Jimmy.

What a real 100% pure a**! OMG the city is sooo crowded downtown we need those spaces to be paid for! As a county resident it would be ok for our county atty to represent the people with tickets in court to challenge them, you don't agree to something like that then on a whim, being an A**, change your mind AND not notify the people involved!
Have you EVER meant a gay person that has a rational way of thinking? ? They always go over the top. That's OK Jimmy. Karma is a bitch.
Maybe the message just didn't get passed down 39854859 levels to the ticketer. Or maybe the wages are so low they can't afford to hire somebody with memory.
Why give them a pass? We don't get passes in inclimate weather. Again..... Government employees wanting special treatment.
4:26, perhaps I didn't explain it well enough. The passes were for a very small group of people willing to transport people from the parking lot across the street to the GOB. It's not like the County was asking for a ton of passes for let's just say favored people. It was a kind gesture by the County and this morning the City agreed it was a good idea. HOWEVER, once Ireton learned of it he sent his staff out to write tickets, even though the County had passes.
What a HO.
Ty for the revision. I was under a different impression.

It's time for the County to kick the City out of OUR building. That building belongs to the County who is letting the City occupy for $1. FK that $1 lease, break it. John Cannon was the president of the Count Council when they insisted the City pay the dollar and become partners. Break the lease agreement and make John Cannon pay for the legal expenses. I believe the parking lot actually belongs to the County as well and the City maintains it. It is F***ed Up and the County has no business being in a partnership with the City over anything.
If you noticed the parking spaces along Rt. 50 not to long ago were "City Parking" and then Jim Ireton made everyone of them special parking for city employees and had their position on a on a reserved sign and he made sure each of them were taken. Before it was only the Mayor and City Administrator with their own special parking before Jim's greedy ass wanted to make sure no one from the County or the public parked in them.
Ireton is such a jerk, we really couldn't expect anything less from him. If Jake is gonna act like this, then he's a jerk too.
Kick the bums out of the County office building now!
Put the City offices in the Cannon Building. That way, they could be closer to the parking lot soon to go away, and I'm sure John would love to collect the rent from his new "guests"!
POS mare.

f y i jake is a jerk also. made from the same mold
So, now the City is supposed to genuflect to the County whenever there's inclement weather or the County wants land for free. How about the County giving city property owners that tax break ("differential") that they deserve and paying their fair share for the city fire department.
Maybe if the County were reasonable vis-à-vis the city, it would reciprocate.

Oh boy is this Jake or Jim speaking.
Guess what Bozo the Fire Department bills for every ambulance call it goes on and it is already getting grant money from the County, the State and the Federal Government. Sounds to me that the city isn't paying it's fair share.
I think it's time for the City to make the Bricks on Isabella Street their GOB.
Kick the city out of the Government office building.
Kick the city OUT, period!

Uh Jimbeau! The County doesn't want land for free. YOU set the County up with that so called trade for the Skate Park. You knew what you were doing when you set up the trade so you could do something to make the County bad. Nice move setting up the County so the Tree Huggers could go after the County over that precious water well. Then you made the statement you would veto the move if approved by the City Council. BTW when was the last time you heard of a softball field contaminating and underground water well you Douche Bag. You are a Jerk Jim Ireton and you need to lose your job at the school after you lose your election. Maybe the County Executive and John Fredericksen can work something out to get rid of you during the next budget cycle.
And just for the record,on Friday Bob Culver HIMSELF was out there shuttling County employees from the employee parking lot to the Government Office Building. I'm not certain if he shuttled any City employees, but I imagine that he likely did so. I personally was not shuttled over, but it truly was a very nice gesture to his employees.
