This is bad news for the USA seafood industry and in particular the crab meat industry. The only thing keeping the picking houses open was the tariffs and consumers demand for fresh, good crab meat. Many restaurants and makers of crab cakes,crab dip,crab imperial, etc,etc already use the inferior foreign crab meat with less inspections,qualifications and standards, because of the price difference, without the consumers knowledge. Demand people your crab meat come from the USA. Do not settle for less.
This is another fine mess Obummer's gotten us into. Congress don't fall for it!
I bought a 1 lb. can of "Chicken of the Sea" foreign claw meat (country of origin not named on the can but sold by C.O.T.S. as the distributer)and when I opened it, it was the rankest, most stinky crab meat that I have ever smelled/purchased. This missing country of origin label for the foods we buy and eat will really become a major problem when the Chinese grown turkey, ham and chickens start entering the U.S. with trusted American grown labels on their crap. No one will know or be able to tell the difference until after they've already purchased and open the package. All courtesy of American politicians, dems & reps.

When US companies voluntarily put country of origin labelling on their products and see their consumption go up - it'll catch on...all we need is a leader!
Country of Original labeling will be an "unfair business practice" under TPP, ~2:31. Best you can do is go to a farmer's market or the like.
Yep. Americans no longer need to worry about the chemicals, hormones, additives, and fertilizers used to grow and produce the food we will eat.
Its hard enough to get AMERICAN food producers to follow the law and not kill or poison us for that extra two cents on the dollar. I'm POSITIVE that the poor farmer in Thailand is going to make sure he doesn't use those chemicals that will double his yield, but give cancer to everyone. And no one will know who did it. THAT'S a great plan, huh?
Your "leaders" have sold you out. Again. For money. Again. And, by the way, "we, the people" aren't allowed to know the details -- we might get angry. How THAT for "transparency"??
