BREAKING NEWS: Justice Department approves settlement with BP

BP will pay the largest settlement in US history – worth more than $20 billion – to resolve claims linked to the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, Attorney General Loretta Lynch announces.

Chump change. With all the price manipulations since then, BP has collected more than triple that amount.

6:09-A lot of the legal decision makers are older individuals who cannot grasp todays' money equivalent as opposed to say 20 years ago.The increased costs were not factored in accordingly.In 1995 a settlement of this magnitude would have been in order.
