The settlement, approved by the city's Board of Estimates Wednesday, does not end criminal trials for six officers charged in Gray's April death. But it puts to rest the possibility of long, expensive civil litigation that could disrupt the city and its businesses, the mayor said while speaking at a Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce event.
Baltimore has had to make the costly move of canceling police leave during pretrial hearings in the criminal cases for the six charged officers, Rawlings-Blake said. Two hearings that have taken place, the latest held Thursday, drew protestors while slowing and disrupting traffic in some parts of the city.

No, she effectively took away the rights of a fair jury trial from the 6 officers by tainting anyone who reads about the settlement as a tainted juror. Across the country, there is no chance of a jury, so they must be acquitted now.
And I'll bet she's retiring with an extra million dollars...

The settlement was an admission of guilt,making an aquittal doubtful.
