I just read some of the notes of the budget work session and look who was absent: City Clerk Kim Nichols, City Administrator Tom Stevenson, Assistant City Administrator Julia Glanz, and Internal Services Director Keith Cordrey.
WTF!! I know they aren't qualified to be in their positions, but they should at least do their jobs and attend the work sessions.
You should reread. All of those you mentioned are listed in the minutes as "In attendance". Only the mayor is listed as not in attendance in that first budget session you referenced.
Fire Department Budget Lines 74 down Travel & Training account to be revisited to ensure mandatory training comes first. Much of the expense is travel because the training is usually held somewhere else. --------
Much of the expense is travel because the training is usually held somewhere else?? WTF!! Why the Hell did we build a $16,000,000 Fire Palace with a multimillion dollar training facility if we have to send our firemen and paramedics somewhere else to train? Why is there a full time paid training Lieutenant at the $16,000,000 Fire Training Palace Monday through Friday if we have to send the firemen and paramedics somewhere else to train?
Does Hoppes mean travel to that fire training conference they send a lot of paid firemen to in Indianapolis? Last time I checked that wasn't mandatory training. That is a paid vacation.
You mean that Orlando Fire Conference in Florida? That isn't mandatory training. These guys are lying to you again. I don't think Rick Hoppes is any better because he goes to these vacations himself just like John Tull does. Bunch of thieves!
