Admittedly, this is from 2004. But it just came across the RWN news desk, and sometimes karma can be a…you know.
In a case of obvious animal cruelty and karma, Jerry Allen Bradford was trying to shoot puppies in the head because he could not find them a home. He was able to kill three of the seven before one of them shot him as it wiggled in his arms. He was treated for the .38-caliber revolver wound and later charged with felony animal cruelty.
Police found three puppies in a shallow grave outside of Bradford’s home, and four other puppies were found unharmed.
Apparently he was killing the puppies…because he couldn’t find them homes. He was charged with felony animal cruelty. If it were me, I would have charged him with a lot worse.

Any person according to statistics that kills harmless animals will one day kill people with the same disregard for life.
Charge him with the hospital bill. That would make him think twice about doing such a stupid thing!
Seriously? The man tried to find homes for the pups and couldn't. He may have been a moron about how he went about it, but that does not make him cruel.
What is he supposed to do, turn the pups over to the state so they can kill them in a week?
The nanny-state mentality we live in, is beyond mind boggling.
You people have no sense of logic or simple common sense. I've had to put down dogs and farm animals, before. It is no where close to being cruel if done correctly. Get a grip, people.
We need a puppy drop box just like the ones for human babies.
Ain't karma a bitch?
It's what the animal shelter would have done. But he should have taken them there where perhaps a few of them could be placed in a home.
