Man with forged prescription fatally shot by Baltimore cop

A man who tried to use a forged prescription at a Baltimore-area drug store was fatally shot in a struggle with an officer Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The as-yet-unidentified man in Reisterstown, Md. ran from an officer who showed up after the pharmacist alerted police to the fake prescription at around 5 p.m., according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

The man fled across Main St. from the Reisterstown Village shopping center’s Nature Care Pharmacy, police said. The officer caught up with him and fired multiple shots during a “confrontation” in the parking lot in front of Word of Life International Church, Baltimore County police spokeswoman Elise Armacosttold The Baltimore Sun.

The man died, but the officer wasn’t injured.

Let's see how this shakes out. More information needed.

(1)This story is something I didn't need to know.

(2)There may be more to this story but it seems extreme. Would an officer chase somebody for a fake ID who was trying to get into a bar?

Drug use both legal and illegal is a real problem for society. If you use anything abuser or not than you are part of the problem.

And, we have only the cop's word to define the “confrontation”. For I seriously doubt there was a body cam involved.

It all hinges on the race of the dead guy.

You're an idiot!

1:57 is exactly correct. Both the race of the criminal and the officer are the only thing that matters anymore.
