Bill and Hillary Clinton Get Paid Millions By Drug Companies

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her husband Bill have taken millions of dollars from the drug companies that she is spending Tuesday disparaging.

Clinton is in Iowa rolling out her new plan to lower drug prices, which she says she can do by allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices with companies. Clinton would also force pharmaceutical companies to invest a “sufficient amount” of their profits in research and development and more stringently regulate their advertising practices. Hillary Clinton made close to a million dollars in paid speeches alone to drug companies just last year. She took $335,000 from the Biotechnology Industry Organization, grabbed $225,000 from the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association, and pocketed $250,000 from the Drug Chemical & Associated Technologies Association.
