Quote Of The Day
"Freedom is not empowerment. Empowerment is what the Serbs have in Bosnia. Anybody can grab a gun and be empowered. It's not entitlement. An entitlement is what people on welfare get, and how free are they? It's not an endlessly expanding list of rights -- the "right" to education, the "right" to health care, the "right" to food and housing. That's not freedom, that's dependency. Those aren't rights, those are rations of slavery -- hay and a barn for human cattle. There's only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences."

Now, THAT'S worth posting!
The unending and expanding quest to provide everyone with everything, expecting less than nothing in return from its recipients, and programs that have no other requirements for qualification other than wanting a perpetual free ride is fast becoming the scenario that will be downfall of the Nation. All that's left is to provide government mind control drugs to make us think that all's well with us and the Nation.
"I don't understand anything," she said with decision, determined to preserve her incomprehension intact. "Nothing. Least of all," she continued in another tone "why you don't take soma when you have these dreadful ideas of yours. You'd forget all about them. And instead of feeling miserable, you'd be jolly. So jolly,"
Aldous Huxley, "Brave New World"
Please pass the soma. We could use some jolly.
What happens when there's nothing left to give away?
