SWAT is not only being used in severe situations like a hostage crisis, but the new norm that SWAT-like militarized police are called out used in everyday criminal busts IF THERE IS A LEGAL GUN OWNER INVOLVED.
Firearm permits are now being checked to see if there is a legal gun owner at a residence where cops need to arrest analleged criminal. Because it’s all about providing the maximum protection of law enforcement, even at the cost of Constitutional rights.
A raid by 9 militarized cops was carried out on a house in Des Moines, Iowa on an alleged credit card fraud criminal. Evidently it takes many highly outfitted cops to bust someone who might have charged things on a stolen credit card.
The reason given for checking on the firearms permit and the overuse of force was, of course, for officer protection. So…we need to have our rights infringed upon to protect the the police, who look and act like an invading military force.

Does the firearm permit pertain to CCW only, since some areas require a permit to own. If this the case you have gun registration including in all states since ATF has the right to have copies from all FFL dealers. This is another way of harassing gun owners and confiscating their firearms. You can have 2 Officers at the door and if / when there is trouble the other 10 come from the sides / back and answer the threat. Then determine if laws were violated by the legal gun owner. Common Sense action.
The moral of the story is never register a firearm.
the only way a firearm is not registered is if you buy illegally. you buy from a FFL dealer legally and it is automatically registered whether you want to believe it or not.

you also forgot, that when they do swat r aids or have swat called in, they set up 2 snipers, and well I promise you, you will not do a damn thing but lay on that ground once you go to the door or windows or if you can bee seen by them...
Just travel to southwestern Virginia and you can buy a gun at a yard sale.
