Latest reports are saying that according to the lawyer for Sewell he was fired because he refused to terminate 2 "black" officers.
The question then becomes (if you can get past the race card being played) is why did the Mayor and Council want the officers fired.
I had the utmost respect for Sewell but I think he is getting bad advice by tossing out the race of the officers and no further explanation of why he didn't think termination was the option. It seems as if he is trying to distract because when you have to toss out race in the mix you are making an attempt to distract from what the real issue is.

. Unless one of parties involved is willing to tell their side, rumors are all we know. Even hearing one side's story, it will just be "one sided". I can guarantee if we are given privilege to both sides of the story they will not be the same tale.

It seems youre a tad too focused on he race part of this predicament.

Hardly 10:29. It was Sewell who through his lawyer who for whatever reason felt compelled to include the race of the 2 officers that the city officials wanted fired. Was that necessary? Absolutely NOT.
Sure sounds like they are the ones obsessed with bringing race into this so if anyone is a "tad" bit "too focused on the race part" it is them and if you are too stupid to see it then you are dismissed and I'm done with you. I don't do ignorance too well.

It IS Mr Sewell and the 2 officers who have filed complaints claiming racial bias or whatever with the EEOC.
The fact is race is the ONLY focus of this predicament.
They aren't claiming anything other than it being a racial issue.

Oh please this is all personal between the Chief and Russ Blake! if they wanted those 2 cops disciplined Russ Blake, the Chief's boss could have just fired them himself...and there was to much time pass since those events for it to be about those events. It's about the Chief not caving to any of Russ Blake outrageous demands as previous Chief's had done and Russ was mad. He was all about ALL of the city employees bowing down to him..good riddance he's gone and I hope the Chief sues the crap out of that town because we just figured out the Council members with the way the voted are a as crooked at Russ is...I love how one council member took to their Facebook page immediately claiming they did research and thought long and hard about the decision when truth be told they thought on it for an hour with a pad and pencil in front of them! The integrity of almost all of the council members and mayor come to question!!!

2:47 The Chief is the one who has said publicly through his lawyer that he was fired in retaliation for not firing 2 of his officers.
You are ignorant because what you are doing is calling the Chief a liar. There are no oh pleases about it. You don't know anything more than anyone else so you need to keep your lying and your lies to yourself. I believe the Chief over you anyday.

I supported Chief Sewell since day one but for the past few years I was getting little bits of info here and there that he may be not what everyone thinks he is. No real info just hints that something may not be right with him. Ironically one of these hints came from a local but outside Pocomoke (meaning not exclusively Pocomoke) politician, a democrat who that "other" blogs loves. I'm not going to say if this person is still in office or not.
I used to refuse to believe it, but now I'm not so sure and am waiting to see how this plays out.
