BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Sounds of chaos. WJZ has pored through hours of just-released radio transmissions that show just how bad conditions were for police as they tried to take control during the riots.
Mike Hellgren has more.
We heard calls of “do not chase” the rioters but no direct stand down orders. What was clear is officers on the streets that day were frustrated over not having the resources and direction they needed and they had trouble protecting themselves, let alone other people and property.
WJZ reviewed hours of newly-released recordings from the April 27th Baltimore riots and they paint a revealing picture of a city slowly turning out of control.
“We’re getting bricks thrown at us,” one officer said.
“He got hit with a brick so we’re going to stand by here. I can’t leave these officers here by themselves,” another said.

thats the kinda stuff you get when you leave liberals in charge...
Just remember that cops!!! Just remember!!!
We out number you, we out number you even if you add the military and any agent working for the USA!!!
Just remember when SHTF you will have no protection, you will have not back up nor resources... And if so, only for a limited time...
So remember that when you are shooting people in the back and letting them bleed out while you handcuff a dead body "for your protection"...
So remember that when you beat or choke someone to death over a damn cigarette...
So remember that when your lying and cheating and stealing and harassing people because "it is my job" or "I am told to do this" or "I am just following orders"...
Remember that when you help enforce inequality...
And you dare ask how or why this is happening, you people are a joke...
I will leave with this, your "I am better than you" mentality won't mean carp when you have over 100 million citizens armed shooting at you over all of this, now I ask again, is it all worth what you are doing to people for a little fun or over some roid rage???
The hate has got to stop!!
@10:12 I think somebody has had some run ins with the "law". That's a lot of hate you got going on there bro. And I bet you will be one of the first ones calling for the po-po when you need help.
Since you're oppressed and in fear for your life due to a tyrannical government, you do have an option.
Contact Geneva, through the U.N. if necessary, to apply for refugee status. You and your persecuted people will be resettled somewhere less intolerable.
In the meantime, stop voting for Democrats who have militarized police to keep you people "in your place", and helpless without the government's teat.
Well said 1:04, especially "helpless without the government's teat". That sounds like about half of the dumbed down American population now.

I didn't read all of his post but having run-ins with the law is NOT the only reason people dislike, distrust AND SEEK TO AVOID kops. I know it's no point in reminding you off all the abuse and murder cases committed by kops. It's well documented, well publicized and acknowledged at all levels of government, and now the people are starting to wake up.
People like you will deny and attempt to justify that crap til your dying breath. YOU are part of the problem. But slowly that problem is being corrected.
You can keep talking that crazy stuff all you want. It doesn't bother me or the others who have their eyes opened.
Wait, so how did Mike Lewis hear about a stand down order? Oh that's right, he made it up so he could get some national press
10:12 and 1:51 are the same person. Leaves the same kinds of comments on every story like this.
"10:12 and 1:51 are the same person." I certainly hope so. I'd hate to think there are 2 of them...
Avoiding contact with cops is simple for most of us...we don't commit crimes.
Works for me.
