I understand road work and repairs could be needed.....but doing them at the same time..... And during the day? Why not stagger them and do them at night when traffic is at it's lowest? Wow....what an idea!

They are not doing them at the same time. 9am to 3pm on Route 50 and 9PM to 5AM on Route 90.

OMG......... Not the same time? Are you serious? Guess those extra two hours at the end of the day will clear up the glossal traffic jam in time for beach goers?

11:22 Read the story again and reread 11:11 comment. R50 daytime, R90 nighttime.

How about not waiting until things are falling apart to fix them and schedule this for the off season so that were are not sitting there waiting for flag troll to let us move.

How about reading what it says. They are fixing the fencing on the Route 50 bridge that was damaged in an accident. The other one is something that just broke. You want the SHA to just go around replace everything no matter if it is broken or not? I sure don't want that extra tax burden.

1:17 I believe the loop detector was damaged when they did some work on R90 a couple of months back. I also believe that work was replacing some guard rails that had been replaced only 5 or 6 years before. The timing of the project is questionable since the next 2 weeks are usually the busiest time in OC.

It states they are replacing a section of fencing due to an accident. I guess we should ask people to please not have accidents during peak tourist season. All problems will be solved.

If they don't replace the loop detector the traffic signals will be out of sync. That will cause back up as well. It's only a day deal with it and get over it. The tourist spend more time in traffic getting to the beach than trying to get into Ocean City.

6:48 My point was the detector, which didn't just break, has been broken for a while and it was broken doing work that was unnecessary to begin with. This was in direct refutation of the comment by 1:17. I didn't say anything about the fencing so I don't see your point about that other than to be a troll. Please keep your comments pertinent.
