Hogan announces Volunteer Appreciation Day at the fair

EASTON — Gov. Larry Hogan has extended an invitation to all Marylanders who have participated in community service and volunteerism to spend a day at the Maryland State Fair on Sunday, Aug. 30.

The Maryland State Fair is held at the Timonium Fairgrounds. The Governor’s Volunteer Appreciation Day is presented by Hogan, the Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism, and the Maryland State Fair.

“Each year, over 1.3 million Marylanders make a commitment to serve their communities. In honor of their commitment, I am pleased to announce these heavily discounted tickets,” Hogan said. “The Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism has partnered with the Maryland State Fair to thank Maryland’s volunteers for their service by celebrating the 2015 Governor’s Volunteer Appreciation Day.”
