Deputies pursued a truck driven by a suspect in a domestic violence case to Nalley Road in Landover, where the truck rammed a deputy’s vehicle, the sheriff’s office said in a statement. That’s when two deputies fired at the man, striking him, the sheriff’s office said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Sharon Taylor, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office, said deputies had responded to a 911 call indicating that the man had a knife, but she did not know whether he was armed during his encounter with the deputies. The victim in the domestic-violence incident pointed out the man’s truck to deputies on the scene, and the deputies pursued him before the fatal confrontation, Taylor said.

Technically if you try to run down a police officer with your car then you are considered to be armed with a deadly weapon. The Weapon in this case was the vehicle he was driving.

Police should stay in their vehicles where its safe. Let him disable his vehicle by destroying it. Then get out and deal with it. Not get out facing 2 tons of machine. If the cops vehicle is disabled then his partner can give chase or get him another day. Cops getting out of a safe vehicle to confront a moving vehicle is stupid and negligent. And killing a man over it is murder in my eyes. Police must do everything they can before killing.

Idiot. This wasn't a high speed deal on the highway. The common man is smart enough to deduct the fact this incident happened in a driveway. And its safer in the car than standing outside of it while a vehicle rams you. Common sense is in my world.
