JUST IN: D.C. firefighter dies after injury in apartment blaze

WASHINGTON – A D.C. firefighter has died from injuries he suffered while working a two-alarm fire in a high-rise apartment building in the Logan Circle neighborhood Wednesday morning.

A spokesman for the mayor’s office identified the firefighter as Lt. Kevin McRae.

Three other people were also injured and taken to the hospital.
