Senator Menendez Indicted on Corruption Charges

Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) was indicted on Wednesday, charged with eight counts of bribery, conspiracy, fraud, and making false statements on government documents, the Justice Department said.

The feisty senator is the first to face federal bribery charges since another New Jersey Democrat, Harrison A. Williams Jr., was indicted in 1980 in the Abscam scandal.

Because the eight counts of bribery alone could amount to up to 15 years in prison each, a brutal court fight is expected. Although the indictment may have serious ramifications for his political future, Menendez, age 61 yrs., has offered no indication that he plans to step down or relinquish any power.

This is new news? C'mon, it's been nearly 8 years. Wake up and stop sobering down your shirt.

No way! A New Jersey politician who is crooked? Remember, he, too, was someone's "guy". The man who would change things.
But, just like I've been telling you, the ONLY thing that changes is who gets rich from bribes, kickbacks, payoffs, favors, and backroom "trades".
That's the way it works. YOU and I don't figure into that equation.
Hang ALL of them. There are enough street lamps and stop lights to really decorate D.C. the way our founding fathers TOLD us we would NEED to do. And that decorating is waaaaaaay overdue.
Get rid of their nodding, smiling shuffling, yes-men, too.
Keep cheering.
