Neighbors Say Mayor Jim Ireton Knew Neighbors Were Squatting
On record, the City stated the home was listed as vacant. Even the Police stated it was vacant. This is the same home in which the former owners who were squatting had cut the gas lines to the home and almost blew up the neighborhood.

There could be people living in foreclosed homes in my neighborhood and I wouldn't know it. The surrounding residents don't get notified of foreclosures.
You do when the house is in such ill repair and and has been written up by the city and you live right near it and pass it everyday.... its condemned now.

Jake Day? You have to be kidding, he's employed full time at Perdue and in the national guard, when will he have time to party? Might as well have Laura Mitchell as mayor! Terry Cohen, she is a tough cookie but at least she's family oriented, hard worker and isn't a drunkin' lush like Ireton, Day and Mitchell. We need someone who is dedicated to Salisbury and not stepping stones for a higher office.
