The media is the real enemy.

This is nothing. Why would anybody gay or not bake somebody a cake that said gay marriage is wrong. If this person had asked for a traditional marriage cake you can bet the bakeries would have baked it. This is just stupid.

I think we've all had enough gayness for a while.

these rabid liberal misfits won't stop until all Christians are forced to accept their ideology.

you can either submit, or fight, because fighting is the only way out of this.

unfortunately, Christians are too nice. Don't think for a minute these lunatics aren't exploiting that fact.

we will never change their minds. the assault will only get worse as more Christians back down and hide.

the tree of liberty needs refreshing.

Actually it is not just stupid. It highlights the intolerance that gays have. They want everyone to have "tolerance" for them and their lifestyles and they use the courts to force Christian businesses to deal with them. But if the shoe is turned around and put on their foot they don't want to wear it. "No, why would we bake a cake that says gay marriage is wrong when we don't believe that," one of the shop people said. Well what is the difference from going into a Christian bakery and asking them to bake a cake for a gay marriage that celebrates Jim and Tom's holy matrimony. The Christian shop does not believe in this so they should have the same right of refusal. And yet they don't.

That guy needs a good throat punch, and you haters up there are idiots for even watching past :30. There is a difference between being denied because 2 guys, or gals, want a cake versus asking for a specific message to incite a negative response.

This is the United States of America, not the United States of the Bible. The Bible has nothing to do with the USA or the laws and rights of being a citizen.

The media has mis-reported the whole issue. It's not about baking cakes for gays it's about the refusal of taking an active part in the wedding itself as in catering ,taking pictures or other types of services and if they have an issue with gays then they shouldn't be forced to participate through threat of lawsuit or media intimidation.

What factors are rapidly bringing down America. America's undesirables:

Democrats
Homos
Blacks
Muslims
and
Mexicans

And you obviously don't know anything about the history of this once great nation!

9:35 says,"Well what is the difference from going into a Christian bakery and asking them to bake a cake for a gay marriage that celebrates Jim and Tom's holy matrimony."

The difference is if you went into a gay bakery and asked them to bake a cake that celebrated Jim and Kathy's holy matrimony they would bake you one.

As a white American straight baker if 11:54 came in and wanted me to bake a cake that said "America's undesirables:

Democrats
Homos
Blacks
Muslims
and
Mexicans
I would not bake him one like that any more than I would bake a cake that said America's undesirables:
Republicans
Rednecks
Jews
one per-centers
and
Texans.

Oh 11:30 What about freedom of expression. YOU need the punch in the throat. Maybe it will knock some intelligence into you because if you had ANY you would be embarrassed about what you wrote. Use your head instead of being nothing but a 2 bit slave to the propaganda machine.
No doubt you are a product of a public school "education."
This guy has every right to ask for such a saying on a cake. You don't' get to pick and choose what rights you think should be allowed.

Actually 11:46 it's not quite what you are saying-the law that is.
It's about being able to defend in a court of law.
A homosexual comes in your florist wanting a bouquet for his mother on Mother's Day and you refuse service because he gay, that's discrimination because homosexuals are a protected class. There is no defense permissable to use if you discriminate against someone.
For instance you can't say well I'm afraid of homosexuals because I was molested by one as a child and now I don't want them in my business. Court won't permit that as a defense.

The same gay comes in wanting flowers for his wedding to another gay and you refuse the flowers because your faith prohibits you from sanctioning and participating in what you believe to be a sin, under this law (as well as the federal law which has been around for 20 years) you now can defend yourself in court if the parties decide to sue you and your defense would be it goes against your religious beliefs.

I will stick with commenter #1. This guy is just here to stir the pot.

I hold the right to do business with whom I wish, and not with whom I deem unworthy.

I would never ask a business to do what this man is asking.

"stir the pot" Hardly. Make a point is more like it.
11:30-Wow-You condones violence ("throat punch") out of one side of your mouth and then calls others haters out of the other.
You really need to take a step back, look in the mirror and deal with your issues. You are one mixed up individual.

4:49 that's what I said.

Wow 15 gay bakeries. I have never even seen one bakery advertised as a gay bakery. Guys a genius

Anonymous said...

You know what he means 11:21 and if you don't then you need to start using your head. Not advertised -Bakeries that are owned by a homosexual.....and there are just about as many bakeries owned by gays as there are hair salons anymore.

Anonymous said...

Oh I get it now. The guy is just a bigot who lumps all bakeries together and thinks they are all owned by gay people, just like the people who do the same thing with hair salons. I get it now, thanks for clearing that up.

Anonymous said...

What are you some kind of simpleton or something 3:00. You must be.

He sought out bakeries owned by homosexuals which isn't that difficult to do.
He then called them. Same as the reporter sought out a business in that Indiana town that by all appearances due to the crucifixes and religious sayings and mementoes displayed was Christian owned and picked to interview that shop.
What are you public school "educated"? You are acting like it's rocket science.
You sound do damn ignorant it's funny. Yeah like this guy who is obviously well educated thinks ALL bakeries are owned by gays.
You for whatever reason have such a compelling need to call someone a "bigot" that you are coming off with some real stupid BS.

This guy is anything but a "Christian"! what an ass. He needs to understand Christian values before can even ask to qualify.

I will not bother to specify, Y'all look it up yourselves.

8:13 and 9:49 etc,

I think the truly tolerant and nonjudgemental are the ones whose values most closely resemble the spirit, if not the letter, of the story of Jesus and his message. Morality comes from within, and isn't worn on one's sleeve and brought out to wave as a Banner of Personal Holy for extra heaven points.

It seems to be a minority opinion around here, or at least a far less vocal one... until we've had enough of the hypocrisy.

Thank you.

homosexuality is NOT a religion. End of discussion.

Anonymous said...

Who said homosexuality was a religion?

Homosexuals can be religious.
Religious people can be homosexual.

(Cue "no true Scotsman' logical fallacy.)
