Secret Service agents disrupted bomb investigation at White House

Two Secret Service agents suspected of being under the influence while striking a White House security barricade drove through an active bomb investigation and directly beside the suspicious package, according to current and former government officials familiar with the incident.

These and other new details about the March 4 incident emerged Thursday from interviews and from police records obtained by The Washington Post.

The revelations spurred fresh questions Thursday from lawmakers about whether the newly appointed director of the Secret Service, Joseph P. Clancy, is capable of turning around the troubled agency.

They were throwing themselves in the way of the bomb so that the presidont care about the country didn't get hurt lol. what a joke the seacrets bar service has become. They used to be a.very well respected and highly efficient entity but now they are on par with SPD and the mayor of dc

And., it'll take 12 steps and a minimum of 180 days to fire 'em.

The president has to be protected whether we like him or not.If those agents can't be fired they should be demoted and assigned to the most remote office they have given menial bs jobs and that includes the officer that sent them home.Clancy is new to the job and should take this as a warning he better tighten up that agency or he goes too.
